2011 sees some changes to international rules governing the main championships, in particular the standard 3 hour events now become 4 hour matches

WORLD ANGLING CHAMPIONSHIPS 2011 – Northern Italy
This year, ALL Championships are being held in Italy and begin on Sunday the 28th August with their respective opening ceremonies (OC). The Ladies and Youth's Championships also have prior training sessions on that day. All remaining Championships begin their training sessions on Monday 29th August.
