The Silo nearly disappoints!
A report of the 2010 IAM event from Champions-team
The Silo Canal can always be counted to supply big bags of roach and bream during the colder seasons, but it didn't kick-off too well! With pole or bolo methods on display, spectators were once more treated to a fascinating match, as anglers from across Europe show just how much this event can still improve each year...

U14, U18, U22 World Championships FREEVIEW
The three groups this year saw a mixture of numbers competing within the age disciplines. The U18 and 22's posted good turnouts of 17 and 19 teams respectively, while the U14s saw a marginal increase from the previous year with eight countries competing. Both venues, while being technically quite difficult, required the correct balance to be struck when going for the the larger fish present and the big shoals of smaller skimmer bream, that averaged just 15 grams each... The 2010 World Angling Championships is due to kick-off shortly in Merida, Spain, after a last minute change from Lake Vicario.
